Plan to Use Your Step Up Scholarship at 30aKidz
30aKidz is completing vendor approval for Florida's Step Up for Students Education Scholarship Account (ESA). Once our approval is final, parents will be able to use their scholarship funds to purchase our small-group teen courses through the MyScholarShop marketplace.
What is the Step Up Scholarship?
The Florida Step Up for Students Education Scholarship Account (ESA) provides funding for eligible K-12 students to access approved educational services, including tutoring, enrichment programs, and hands-on learning experiences like 30aKidz teen courses.
Funds are loaded onto a scholarship account and can be spent through the MyScholarShop marketplace on approved vendors and services. 30aKidz teen courses qualify as structured educational enrichment.
How Step Up Will Work at 30aKidz

Browse the courses, then tell us which ones your teen wants and check the Step Up box on the form. Enrollment opens per term, so the interest list is how we know to plan a seat and scholarship guidance for your family.

When our vendor approval is complete, you will log into your MyScholarShop account, search for "30aKidz" in the marketplace, and pay for the course with your scholarship funds. Until then, 30aKidz will not appear there.

When the term your teen wants is scheduled, we email everyone on the interest list and walk you through enrollment step by step, including how to apply scholarship funds if you are using them.
What Qualifies?
Small-group, 4-week teen courses across a broad subject catalog, for ages 12-18
Four weekly sessions per course: three one-hour sessions plus a two-hour showcase, five contact hours total
Each course is a structured, educator-designed enrichment session
Teen courses end with a real project, presentation, or showcase
Small group sizes: teen courses run in groups of 6 to 15
Common Questions
Can I enroll today?
Not yet. Enrollment opens per term. Right now the interest list is the way in: tell us the courses your teen wants, and we contact you when that term is scheduled.
Would I pay on your site or on MyScholarShop?
Once approval is final, you would pay through MyScholarShop with your scholarship funds, and no card payment would be needed on our site.
What if I want to pay out-of-pocket instead?
That works too. The Step Up scholarship is optional, and we will lay out both payment paths when your term opens.
Can my teen take more than one course?
Yes. Each course is its own 4-week session, and you can list every course you are interested in on the interest-list form.
Is 30aKidz an approved Step Up vendor?
Not yet. Our vendor approval for Florida's Step Up for Students ESA program is in progress. Our teen courses are structured educational enrichment designed by an educator. We will update this page once approval is final.
