Course Badges & Certificates

Every teen course is four weeks and focused, with clear learning goals. The subject stays fixed; the module inside it rotates each term, so a second pass is new material. When teens complete a course they earn a digital badge and a printable certificate that mark what they have learned and can go into OWNIVO or any homeschool portfolio to show progress.

  • A course a term, September to May
  • Four weeks each, five contact hours
  • Showcase in May

Digital Badges

A digital badge for every completed course, marking the subject and the module your teen finished. We keep the record: course, module, dates, and contact hours. Ask for it anytime and it drops into your homeschool portfolio.

Printable Certificates

Every completed course comes with a printable certificate listing the course name, dates, instructor, and subject areas covered. Perfect for binders, Step Up compliance records, and homeschool portfolios.

The Ladder

Foundation for one course. Forged for the full course path, Tempered for a second lap with all new material, Mettle for the whole catalog. The path below is the order we recommend walking it in.

The path

The course path, in the order we recommend. Finish a course and you earn its badge plus a printable certificate.

Made of Mettle

Four rungs, one idea. Forged means shaped. Tempered is the heat treatment that lets steel take a hit. Mettle is the thing itself. Each lap is the full course path, and the second and third laps use all new material, so nobody repeats a course to climb.

Courses are meant to be taken in order. Each one builds on the habits of the one before it, which is why the path runs Step 1 through Step 4. If your teen is joining mid-year we talk it through and place them where they will do best. We award badges and certificates after each course, and we keep the record.

How a year works

Four courses a year, September through spring. We take November and December off, and every group presents at a showcase in May.

Each course runs four weekly sessions: three one-hour meetings and a two-hour showcase at the end. Roughly an hour and a half a week, averaged across the year. Light enough to fit a full homeschool schedule, steady enough to build something real.

Exact dates for each course are listed with that course when enrollment opens.

The three-year journey

Each pass uses different modules, so nothing repeats. Same disciplines, new material, deeper every time.

  1. 1Year one you go through the full course path once and earn Forged.
  2. 2Year two you go through again with all new material and earn Tempered, plus the physical patch.
  3. 3Year three is the third pass and Mettle, which means your teen has done everything 30aKidz offers.

This is the arc we recommend, not a commitment. A teen can stop at any rung and keeps every badge and certificate already earned.
