About 30aKidz
More than enrichment. More than tutoring.
30aKidz is a small-group enrichment program on Florida's 30A coast for teens ages 12 to 18. Teens take small-group, 4-week courses spanning critical thinking, the humanities, STEM, the arts, and life skills. Everything we run is built to teach young people how to think, not just what to memorize, and every course ends with something they made.
Why 30aKidz
What makes this different.
Why we make them do the work
Teens learn by doing the thing, not hearing about it. Argument and evidence in Think Clearly. Real research and discussion in Great Works. Building and shipping in Build & Lead. Every course ends with something real: a project, a presentation, or a showcase.
Why 'how to think' matters
Memorization and test prep won't prepare young people for a world where information is abundant and answers are easy. What's rare is clear, independent thinking: the ability to question, reason, and decide.
Why small groups
Real skills get built in conversation and practice, not lectures. Teen courses run in small groups so every teen gets heard, challenged, and coached.
Why not just school or a co-op
This isn't a school or a casual club. It's focused, premium enrichment for families who want more depth than a one-off activity and more future-focus than typical tutoring.
Founder
Who teaches this.
30aKidz is led by Jerin Schreiber. He has taught at the college level and spent more than ten years in youth ministry as a pastor and director, working with junior high and high school students.
That mix is the whole idea behind 30aKidz. College teaching is where you learn to take a subject seriously. A decade with junior high and high school students is where you learn that taking a teenager seriously is what makes them rise to it. These courses are built on both.
Why us
